This workshop is a great follow-on from our Introduction to Blacksmithing workshop, allowing you to use the skills learned on that day, apply them again and learn some new ones! You’ll be able to experience the different between the charcoal forge and a gas forge, and learn new skill of splitting to make a toasting fork. Once finished, you can try your own small project - a hook ,a bottle opener, or something else you fancy!
Tickets for this workshop are £80. Workshops take place at Green Aspirations, Gartur, nr Port of Menteith Stirling, Scotland, FK8 3JY. You’ll arrive on site by 10am, and be directed to workshop. From there, one of our experienced trainers will lead you through the workshop. All metal and tools are provided. The day finishes by 4pm. Please bring lunch - you are welcome to cook over our campfire. We provide tea and coffee and snacks!
For blacksmithing, please wear comfortable clothes made from natural fibres and, if you have them, steel-toe capped shoes or boots. We will provide safety glasses.
