Hi,
Does anyone have experience of, or knowledge of huts being built in a coastal location within a National Scenic Area?
From speaking with our local council they seem supportive as long as the hut is not ‘conspicuous’. I am curious to know how conspicuous approved huts in similar circumstances have been.

I seem to be making a habit of answering my own posts…
I have now heard back from Highland Council following some questions I submitted after receiving their helpful pre-application advice. In short the response was; ‘The precise siting of the hut would be assessed on its merits – just because it is visible from a public view does not necessarily mean that it is unacceptable.’
I have to say how impressed I have been with Highland Council and thankful to Reforesting Scotland who the council advisor has referenced at times.
