I attended the DIY building/ huts workshop at the gathering and shared a little about my extension plans that I’m trying to do as “sustainably”- the least energy intense way I can manage.
Our cabin we live inb sits on a 500mm concrete base and the easiest way to extend (400x200mm) would be to add another slab of concrete along side.
Does anyone have any experience with hempcrete or other alternatives? I apprecitate it’s not structural or suitable for below grade. I’ve not commited yet to do it through building control so any suggestions are welcome.
