Wester Lawrenceton Farm is a five acre small holding on Califerv . Consisting of 5 acres of small fields, market garden, orchard, main house, woodland and out buildings with a rich history in organic farming. It is now going through a period of change and development. This includes the transition of the land ownership from a limited Company to a Community Interest Company and the revitalisation of the land and its buildings. Part of this is to become involved in the 1000 huts initiative. Following all the advice we are intending to plan for at least 10 huts spread out through the site. The huts would be in woodland, one of the orchards and two with amazing views over the Moray Firth. In our current planning the ground rent would be in the £100 to £120 per month and we are considering a 25 year lease. As an approach we are keen to explore supporting the setting up of a hutters group. We are about to start the planning process. However, as a first stage we would like to assess need.
